A Cúpula Mundial da Família 5, com o tema "Famílias em Equilíbrio - Alcançar a Igualdade de Gênero e Empoderamento das Mulheres", realizada em Istambul, 4-7 Dezembro de 2009, sob o Alto Patrocínio do Senhor Primeiro-Ministro Recep Erdogan, teve a participação de mais de 300 participantes de 54 países e também 12 ministros e outras autoridades.
